An evening in Didova Kuća - a real treat in Šimuni
In Šimuni, right in the bay above the harbor, lies the charming Konoba Didova Kuća - a culinary gem that perfectly combines tradition and creativity. The first generation of the family not only built the village here, but also laid the foundations for this special meeting place for gourmets.
🌿 Atmosphere and ambience
Terrace with sea view: From the colorful, lovingly decorated terrace, you can enjoy the view of the harbor, the sea and - at dinner - fantastic sunsets. Especially recommended: a seat directly on the balustrade.
Botanical flair: All around you will find Mediterranean greenery - herbs, plants, vertical green spaces that provide cool shade and freshness.
Handmade ceramics: Each dish is served on specially made, colorful plates - you can even buy them in the restaurant.

🍽️ The menu
The focus is on exquisite Mediterranean and Dalmatian cuisine, ideally tailored to regional products:
Šugo of lamb with paški spices - served with either gnocchi or handmade makaruni. The pasta (al dente!) perfectly envelops the tender meat in an aromatic, thick ragout.
Branzino al cartoccio - fish cooked in paper combined with vegetables, freshly harvested white grapes and olive tapenade. This unique combination of textures never fails to impress.
Salads with paški-sir and rocket - fresh and light, wonderful as an accompaniment.
For dessert, there is homemade ice cream and traditional cakes. While the cake selection can occasionally be a little dry, the creamy ice cream makes up for it.

🧑🍳 Setup & Service
Attention to detail: the plates, the menu - lovingly designed and inspired by family history.
Friendly staff: young, committed, cordial. It almost feels like a family .
Reservations recommended: It's worth booking early, especially in summer, as the restaurant gets busy very quickly

📝 My conclusion
An evening at Didova Kuća is not just a meal, but an experience: you can enjoy authentic Pag cuisine in a creative, green setting right by the sea. It's worth it for gourmets, families and couples - and even if the prices are a little higher, it's worth it.
👉 Tip for you: book a dinner on the terrace, enjoy the sea view at sunset, taste lamb sugo or freshly caught branzino - and end the day with homemade ice cream.
Enjoy your stay in Šimuni!
